Sarah was born in Washington, DC. She received her BA in Environmental Studies from Ithaca College in 2015 and her MFA in Studio Practice in 2022 from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
Sarah’s work reflects on specific human-environment interactions such as sensations of light, shade and movement, interactions between natural and built environments, and how people connect with land through material and memory. Sarah works across various visual mediums, finding ways to create movement, color, and texture through painting, installation based works, photography, and papermaking.
Sarah has participated in group shows in Washington, DC; Ithaca, NY; Brooklyn, NY; Philadelphia, PA; and Amsterdam, Netherlands, as well as solo exhibitions in Ithaca, NY; and Ísafjörður, Iceland. She currently lives and works in Philadelphia, PA directing early childhood programs in addition to her artistic practice.
